Caricatures: T Mboweni & EG Rode

Client: Rode & Associates Property Economists

Konrad's responsible for Rode & Associates' quarterly property research publication covers, and sometimes it means drawing caricatures of real people. For this edition of Rode's Report, both Reserve Bank governor Tito Mboweni and property economist Erwin Rode had something to say.

Below are some of the originals Konrad used as reference:

Caricature: Rode's Report, "Lick"

Client: Rode & Associates Property Economists

The headline for this property research publication's cover page read, "How to lick the cap rate problem". So of course Erwin Rode – Rode's CEO – had to be illustrated licking some wonderfully colourful ice cream.

Erwin's known for his sense of humour, and Konrad's sister can tell you how often she's wanted to flee in embarrassment when he displayed it in public. This face, Konrad reckons, captured that look he'd have, perfectly.
