For this 1999 edition of the Rode's Report cover we rendered an imaginary city centre occupied by well-known insurance companies who stand to benefit from the news in the headline. The sun's rising, there may be good news.
This was one of our first illustrations for Rode & Associates.
For this 2009 issue of research publication Rode's Retail Report, we searched (and searched) for some high resolution or vector-based copyright-free images of cards (Konrad thinks he got them on Wikipedia), created a pyramid of them, gave them individual perspectives and added all the shadows etc.
Please note: "Rendering" is a word used more commonly to describe three-dimensional art. We don't do 3-D renderings, only pseudo-3D, i.e. flat illustrations that imitate 3D. These are not as realistic as true 3D, but are ideal as editorial illustrations.
