Pseudo-3D vector rendering

Client: Rode & Associates Property Economists

Rode's South African Property Trends is part of a series of electronic publications by property economists Rode & Associates. These "online" publications have been steadily replacing the printed versions as the world wakes up to the ease and benefits of the World Wide Web.

Being a five year look into the future of property economics in SA, as well as the top-of-the-line Rode publication going for R14 000+ per year (2 issues), Trends had to have a distinctly different and upmarket design to match its value. We went for the clean, crisp feel with vector drawings, yet it doesn't say "fashion magazine" - after all, it should say "research, numbers, objective".

Please note: "Rendering" is a word used more commonly to describe three-dimensional art. We don't do 3-D renderings, only pseudo-3D, i.e. flat illustrations that imitate 3D. These are not as realistic as true 3D, but are ideal as editorial illustrations.

For more examples, see the Crystal ball, Air Con & Soccer logo, CBD & Cards and Speedometer & Hurdles renderings.
